If you see too few listings then please modify the search somewhat and search again. If you find a lot of "2-8-2" items then you might want to narrow your search words that were entered and do it again.

First, the ebay registration process is quite easy, with no obligation to buy anything at all. If there is not a "Buy It Now" graphic it could mean that the bidding has already started. Here is a strategy that should get you the best deal.

• Place a bid for a little above the current bid. You will be notified by email if someone outbids you.
• If you should get outbid that means others want the item too. So now is the time to place a bid for the maximum amount that you are willing to pay. Don't worry, you will only end up paying the amount that would make you the highestwinning bidder, not the maximum amount that you bid.
• If you get outbid at this point then ask yourself just how much you want this item. Don't make the error of getting caught up in a bidding frenzy - you'll quite probably end up buying it for a higher amount than you wanted to. If there are other auctions for the same item, now is the time to move on to the next one for 2-8-2.
• If you should win the auction think about purchasing your item with a credit card. You can do this with Paypal and it gives you more leverage in getting your money back if you do not get the item. This happens very rarely but there are a few scammers selling on eBay.
