Ebay Buying Tips:
If you see the "Buy It Now" logo and do not want to play the bidding game and wait until the auction is finished, you might pay a bit more but you will 'win' the auction right away, if you buy it at the "Buy It Now" amount. This is a good technique if you see a lot of time left on the auction.

  • If you should get beat out that means other people want that item as well. So now is the time to make a bid for the highest amount you are willing to pay for the item. Don't worry, you will only end up paying the amount that would make you the highestwinning bidder, not necessarily the maximum amount that you bid.
  • If you get outbid at this point then ask yourself just how much you want this item. Don't make the mistake of being caught up in a bidding frenzy - you will quite probably end up buying it for a higher amount than you really wanted.
