If you see the "Buy It Now" graphic and do not want to play the bidding game and wait until the auction is over, then you may pay a bit more but you will 'win' the auction right away, if you purchase it at the "Buy It Now" amount. This is a good strategy if you see a lot of time left on the auction.

If there is no "Buy It Now" logo it may mean that the bidding has begun. Here is a method that will get you the best deal.

• Place a bid for a little above the current bid. You will be let know by email if someone outbids you.
• If you should get outbid that means others want that item too. Now is the time to make a bid for the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the item. Don't worry, you will only end up paying the amount that would make you the highest bidder, not necessarily the highest amount that you bid.
• If you get beat out at this point then you should ask yourself just how much you want this item. Don't make the mistake of being caught up in a bidding frenzy - you'll probably end up paying a higher amount than you really wanted to. If there are other auctions for the same item, now is the time to move on to the next auction for SBB.
